I have recommended this to several clients but they generally think it looks to utilitarian.

| The last residence we finish was in a lake in the outskirts of Seattle, the floor was polished black concrete, very stark, but after it was furnished with white sheep fur area rugs, a red sofa, grey arm chairs, natural oiled ceadar custom made furniture, and lots of colorfull paintings, it was WOW!!!

| I appreciate the input. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can promote my service or make myself available to new construction projects. I am trying to find creative ways to "pound the pavement" for this new business.

I think participating in relevant forums and having a website are good ways to promote your business.

you can also always do a mix of soy based acid stains that react with the concrete too.

Polished concrete is fairly commonplace these days. Some big box retail stores do fairly nice finishes to their concrete...
As far as a business plan goes, I'd say get in touch with your competition and ask they whatever you'd like to know. Start from the source.

Here is a website that focuses on uses of concrete for floors, counter tops, and other uses.
http://www.concretenetwork.com/
I suggest you make up some samples to display to potential clients. These could be as simple as some thin 1 square feet concrete tiles that you polish or stain to show different effects. You could include embedded glass chips for another effect.
One of the best ways to get people to select your product is to have installed examples to show them. The next best thing is to have actual samples available. This way people can see the potential in ways not possible with photographs or web site pictures.
Polished concrete with out colorants, embedded chips, stampings or other decorative elements can seem utilitarian to many people. There are so many possibilities for creative designs that you may need to concentrate more of you energies on your marketing efforts.
