| Hi Solidred, one of DC's think tank and also proud scotish architect. How is everything? Awesome to see contributors like "Trilitica" back, we should have a post on Trilitica's return something like "Return of the Trilitica". |

Why, thank you Landy!
As someone who went on part-time contract work a year ago, when the job market was surprisingly buoyant (unbelievable now!) I was the first to feel the effects of this autumn's monumental slump... Actually, though - and I swear I'm not just putting a brave face on it, honest! - I'm finally fulfilled creatively, having time at the moment to start work on music as well as a bunch of other projects...
And yes, good to see Trilitica powering along there with a successful practice! Maybe I should move to his country. In fact, I have another reason for wanting to live there... |

"architects never go bankrupt,
a priviledged profession"
Le Corbusier
That has to be one of my favorite lines in Le Corbusier's Toward a New Architecture manifesto. It doesn't mater if we are employed, unemployed architects will always live well. If you are currently unemployed make the best of it, read, excercise, job hunt (anywhere from supermarkets to jobs at OMA). Perseverance pays, trust me! |
