Hi,
I work for an architectural practice in the UK.
Trying to get some feedback from people about designs of faith buildings/mosques/masjids in the UK.
the company i work for are a specialist in this skill and i'd like some feedback on their designs too please.

Hello,

| I haven't come across a good one yet. Having worked in Iran, albeit briefly, I believe there must be some way to resolve Islamic architecture via abstraction/mathematics/geometry that is neither historical pastiche nor an aspect of western Modernism. |

it is from slightly the opposite direction, but Casson Conder's Ismaili Community Centre in Kensington in London seems to me to be a very successful combination. (no longer new - it was opened in 1985). _________________ Richard Haut has worked with the architectural profession for over 25 years and produces the weekly Richard Haut's Competitions, which has given architects details of many thousands of projects for which they can apply across Britain and Europe. |
