Hi A,
Bamboo building thats adventurous!
I have used for scaffold and even looked into manufacturing boat mast from bamboo, which shows that I fully respect the compressive strenght on a vertical plain of bamboo.
My questions arise from two factors. How to keep the weather out (both bamboo and the building) and how to joint/connect bamboo with out effecting the strenght?
I live in Thailand where bamboo is also readily available but I have only ever used it as a temporary measure. Even the scaffold is only good for 3-6 months because of the water ingress.
Like I say, keep us updated,
Cheers,
Dan

What about the fire rating of the (bamboo) material.
What about "treating" the bamboo? (before or after) besides painting it. Possible to use spray foams? for insulation (close the holes) and/or fire ratings etc.
Just some thoughts'
